Terms of use

Plain terms for a free site with no accounts and no uploads. The short version: use it for anything you like, your photographs stay yours, and the marketplace figures here are carefully checked but are not a promise.

By using sellerphotokit.com you agree to what follows. If you do not, please do not use the site — there is nothing to cancel, since there is no account.

What this site is

SellerPhotoKit is a set of free browser-based photo tools and reference guides for people listing items on Poshmark, Depop, Vinted, Mercari, eBay and Etsy. The tools run inside your browser on your own device. There is no account, no subscription, no usage limit and no charge.

Running costs are met by advertising. Nothing on the site is placed behind payment, registration or consent to advertising.

Your photographs and your output

You keep every right in the photographs you put into these tools, and in everything that comes out of them. We acquire no licence, no ownership and no rights of any kind in your images, for the straightforward reason that we never receive them — see the privacy policy. You may use the output commercially, including on listings you sell from, with no attribution and no restriction from us.

You are responsible for having the right to use the photographs you process. Do not use the tools on images you do not own or are not licensed to use.

The specifications are checked, not guaranteed

Every marketplace figure on this site is sourced, labelled first-party or derived, and dated with the day it was last verified. That is a real standard and it is more than most published guides offer. It is still not a warranty.

  • Marketplaces change their requirements without notice, and sometimes without updating their own help pages.
  • Requirements can differ by country, by category, by seller tier and by app version.
  • Where a marketplace publishes nothing, our figure is explicitly labelled derived and is our best conservative reading rather than an authority.

So treat this site as a well-maintained starting point and the marketplace's own current guidance as the authority. If you find a figure here that no longer matches, telling us is genuinely useful — [email protected].

Your listings remain yours to get right

You are responsible for complying with the rules of the marketplace you sell on. That includes its photo policies, and it includes the parts our guides warn you about: eBay prohibits watermarks, borders and added text; Vinted prohibits image editing and requires photographs to represent the item as it is; several marketplaces prohibit stock photographs on used goods.

The tools here can be used in ways a given marketplace does not permit — whitening a background is a legitimate edit on one platform and a rule breach on another. The guides say which is which where we know, and the decision and its consequences are yours. We are not responsible for a listing being removed, a sale being reversed, or an account being restricted.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. In particular we do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption, that it will work in every browser, or that any tool will produce a result suitable for your purpose.

Because the tools run on your device, results depend on your browser, its version and the memory available to it. Very large batches or very large individual files may fail on a device that cannot hold them. Keep your originals — we have no copy and cannot restore anything.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SellerPhotoKit and anyone operating it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, sales, data or images, arising out of your use of this site.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Attempt to interfere with the site, its host, or its availability to other visitors.
  • Use the site to process material that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Present the site or its output as your own product or service, or mirror it in a way that implies it is operated by you.

Automated use is not itself a problem — there is no rate limit to breach — but load which degrades the site for others is.

Intellectual property and trademarks

The site's design, text, guides and code belong to its operator. You are welcome to quote or link to any page.

SellerPhotoKit is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Poshmark, Depop, Vinted, Mercari, eBay, Etsy, or any other marketplace. All product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners.

Marketplace names appear here descriptively, to identify whose photo requirements are being described. No logos are used, and none of these companies has reviewed, approved or endorsed anything on this site.

Changes and availability

Pages, tools and figures on this site change as marketplaces change. These terms may be updated too; the date at the top of the page shows when they last were, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it. We may also add, alter or withdraw a tool, though the intention set out on the about page is that what is free here stays free.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
